Doug Garranbrants, Venetian plaster artisan and
Lena Fransioli, fine artist are the married principles of
Zoe Design and have been painting murals and decorative finishes from Los Angeles to Tokyo for 28 years.
Lena Fransioli a Harvard graduate is also a student of the Parsons School of Design in NY. In addition, she studied at the Inchbald School of Design in London and more recently took a year long painting sabbatical with her mural partner
Brooke Sheldon in Florence, Italy.
Zoe Design is currently headquarted in Boston where their team of highly skilled artist assist in project installations of all sizes. The team specializes in murals, Venetian plaster, wall glazing, faux finishes, metal leaf, marmorino, floor and ceiling stenciling, custom stenciling, painted furnishings, wallpaper and more. One look at their work and years of dedication and passion are revealed.
When I asked for the source of inspiration,
Lena's response was, "It all started with the wanting to give a wall depth and transparency. Whether we are painting a mural, glazing or applying decorative plaster, I am always searching for ways to see into or through the surface."
